FILMS FOR THE ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS

From time to time we share films/documentaries that we’ve found inspirational.  We hope you’ll share your thoughts on these and suggest others that you found inspirational.

These are not presented in any particular order.

We’ve included links to places you may be able to easily watch, but the links are NOT necessarily the only way to watch.

You can “Google” and check out other options like Netflix, Prime, Vimeo, etc.

KISS THE GROUND

We found the beginning of this full-length feature documentary tough to get through but we promise if you stick with it, you will find light at the end of the tunnel.  This film gives us hope.

The trailer for the documentary is below — the full-length film is easy to find on Netflix.

SLOWING DOWN FAST FASHION

This one is out of the U.K. but we feel it has universal appeal. It really made more than a few of us sit up and take notice of the clothes on our backs.

We hope you find inspiration as you watch it.

Hint: There are so many reasons to think and hopefully change our habits including protecting our environment and protecting human rights.

We’ve included the trailer and a link to the full video below.

THE NEED TO GROW

This is another film that we found parts of hard to watch.  We didn’t like reminders of how damaged Mother Earth is.

Yes, we freely admit that we suffer like many of you from “eco-anxiety“…

But as we got into it, we began to have our spirits lifted and we found hope.  We trust you will too.

Save Our Woodlands is an environmentally conscious group of volunteers dedicated to preserving threatened birds, animals and ecosystems in the woodlands of New South Wales, Australia.

Only 15% of our woodlands remain, the rest has been cleared for agriculture.

Save Our Woodlands Inc. secures and protects woodlands in NSW and pays landholders, in perpetuity, to conserve, enhance and re-establish native woodlands on THEIR land, and to manage these woodlands, so they are maintained.

BUT we need YOUR help.  Together we can bring about change.  Please consider donating.

People tend to think that woodlands are “just bush,” consequently, over 85% of the native woodlands in New South Wales, Australia have been replaced by agriculture.

Donate $10 per month & help protect critical habitats.   By doing so YOU will prevent further species from extinction.

Our work is only possible with your support.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
